Your item:

  • has been carefully selected among many options
  • has been gently washed and meticulously cared for
  • has been kept in the freezer for at least 72 hours to ensure it is 100% free of moths (see below to understand why)
  • is ready for a lifelong love story with you
  • Do's

There is no need to wash you Jumper after every wear. Just air it out, and wash it (depending on the activity) after every two to five wears.  Contrary to popular belief, cashmere loves water. Please consider :

You can wash it by hand, but a delicate wash cycle in the washing machine is just as effective. Select the wool cycle, and make sure the water temperature is no higher than 30C° (hot water will cause it to shrink) and the spin is slow. Always use a mesh laundry bag, and avoid washing with other items that can damage your delicate garment (like jeans).

Delicate laundry soap (even super mild babyshampoo) will be your friend.

Roll your jumper in a towel to squeeze out excess water. Let it dry flat on a towel. If necessary lightly steam it from a distance. Fold it instead of hanging.

Final advice: Moths love your woollen items as much as you do ! To avoid any moth damage, keep your cashmere in a breathable storage box.

If you notice any signs of moths, place your item in the freezer for 72 hours (they don't like temperatures below 0C°). Moth eggs are not always visible to the naked eye.

  • Don'ts

    Never use temperatures above 30C°.

    Do not use fabric softeners.

Do not use detergents with lanolin, unless it's for outerwear, as it re-coats the wool fibres and hampers the breathable, moisture-wicking properties that make wool so comfortable and cozy.

Do not tumble dry (it will shrink to a toddler size!)

Do not dry clean (though possible, dry cleaning uses harsh chemicals that break down fibres over time, making your sweater look worse).

Do not hang your piece to dry.

Do not expose it to the sun.

Do not store your sweater for the summer season without washing it, as moths love "dirty" cashmere. Also, don't store it in a plastic bag, as it needs to breathe.
